- Developing self-confidence is something we all struggle with
- This is a quality in which we are not doubting ourselves- no matter what the challenge is we can overcome. This keeps us from running away from opportunities that present themselves
- Move out of our comfort zones which is where real growth occurs
- Listened to the story of Prahalad who was the son of the ultimate bully Hiranyakashipu
- Prahalad, despite knowing his father was not aligned never swayed away from his deep faith in Bhagavan (resulting in Hiranyakashipu smashing the pillar and Lord Vishnu coming out)
- What gave Prahalad the strength/confidence to know Lord Vishnu is in the pillar? His devotion- the confidence to believe
- With respect to a bully, what would give you the confidence to stand up for yourself?
- Only through integrity can we become more self-confident
- Being true to ourselves-doing what we intended to do
- When we tell a lie, it’s actually that we are not strong enough to face the consequences
- When we lose integrity it makes us smaller inside
- When we are able to be true to our convictions, we can face all the things and develop Self-confidence
- When we lie, we end up feeling smaller and the problem gets larger
- If we want to remain unshakable in the face of adversity we have to have integrity
- Surround ourself with noble thoughts
