Summary of last session (November 18) by Shri Mohan Khandekar
Shri Vijayji started the session with the continuation of the story of Sati.
97:4 Sati was attracted towards Shri Ram and proceeded to meet Him in Sita’s attire against the wishes of Shivji. Vijay ji’s comments: only knowledge can eliminate delusion.
Chand (छंद): Because of the above inexcusable conduct Shiv ji decided to leave Sati. One should not “dress up” like a Guru. Sage Narad continues to narrate the story of the past life of Parvati to Maina.
98, 98:1 Upon listening to this explanation by Sage Narad, everyone in the city was relieved and started singing glories of Parvati.
98:2 3,4 These choupahis discuss the kitchen, the menu, the preparation of scrumptious food which is being served to revered guests (Brahma, Vishnu, Devtaas) with great respect as per the wedding traditions. This was accompanied with singing songs of satirical meaning by the beautiful women for the entertainment of the guests. Everyone enjoys this joyful atmosphere. After enjoying the delicious food a Paan is served to them.
Doha 99: The wedding rituals were completed by Rishis in the presence of the father of the bride and the esteemed guests.
99:1 As per rituals prescribed by Vedas the esteemed guests were offered proper seats with respect. Vijay ji explained the glories of Santan Dharma, in which every vyavahar (व्यवहार) is done with respect. This has a strength to upbring the society.
99:2 Shiv ji was offered a seat on a spectacular throne made for Him by none other than Brahmaji. He proceeds to occupy it after paying respects to Brahmans and thinking of Shri Ram.
99:3/4/छंद Tulsidas ji has no words to describe the beauty of the bride, Parvati. She arrives at the ceremony. All Devtaas are awed by her looks and pay their respects to her in their minds. Ved, Shesh Bhagwan and Sarswatiji have difficulty finding words to describe the aura of the atmosphere.
