Activity
We planted the seeds from last week’s RAW. We started a gratitude journal in which every time you water your plant you would go and write one of the ways nature takes care of us in this journal. We have to bring our plant to class every week.
Viveka
The first virtue we will be learning about is Viveka – prioritization.
It means to pick the right stuff and not pick the wrong stuff.
Shankarji shared the story of the “The Goose and the Golden Egg”.
Once upon a time there was a poor old man who loved his goose and took care of him. One day he found that the goose laid a golden egg. He was really happy and sold that egg to buy food. After that, every morning the same thing happened, and he soon became rich by selling his eggs. But as time passed he got greedy and more than the goose he cared for golden eggs and wanted more and more. One day he decided to killed the goose to get all the eggs at once instaed of getting one egg in a day. The goose died and old man lost his beloved goose and the golden eggs forever.
When we do not have Viveka we can make poor choices.
RAW
Every morning write your goal for the day.
