Review:
Key Work: Moderation – Slow down and take everything in carefully. Do things in a balanced way. Don’t overdo things and balance things you want to do and things you need to do.
Story
Jake and Finn were good friends in the same class and had the same assignments to complete. 2 different approaches. Jake was very disciplined and diligent. Finn was a procrastinator and always wanted to have fun. One day the teacher announced that there was a class field trip. But they had to finish the final class project to go on the field trip. The field trip was at the best amusement park. Jake asked Finn if he needed help but Finn said no, and that he was fine. Jake was disciplined and completed his project. The night before Finn called Jake for his help and Jake was already asleep. The next day Finn told the teacher a sad story on why he didn’t complete his project. The teacher understood and gave him more time but he still couldn’t go on the field trip. Jake on the other hand got 2 tickets to bring to the amusement park because he had done such a great job all year. Jake was sad that Finn couldn’t come. Jake took his sister and brother on the field trip and had a lot of fun. Finn missed out on all the fun because he didn’t finish his work. Finn also had to do summer school as he missed so many assignments.
The Lesson of the Story:
Key Word: Discipline. When we balance between what we need and what we want and make our needs a priority, we are more at peace and happy. We live a balanced lifestyle.
Excuses make today easier but tomorrow harder and that is why Finn had to go to summer school and couldn’t enjoy his summer like Jake.
