Virtue of the Week

Today, we talked about the virtue, Samadhana – vision.

Vision is our ability to see our own potential.  The opposite of vision is insecurity.  When you are speaking in public, you could very nervous.  You try to make yourself confident.  But we tell ourselves that maybe we’re just bad at public speaking.  We fill ourselves with doubt until we can’t do it.

We need to focus on our potential and look at what we could be good at in the future rather than what we can do now.   We shouldn’t be satisfied with how good we are at something now, we should strive to always be better.

We practice vision by not making excuses.  We should accept that we didn’t do well, and make sure we do better next time.  Shankar ji talked about the phrase – “You can be anything you want to be if you put your mind to it.”

RAW

Our RAW is to plant a tree.  The reason we are doing this is because the world needs more nature.
