The buzzing of anticipation came to a calm stance Friday evening for the long awaited arrival of Vivekji and Sumanji. Any unfamiliar discomfort was dissipated by melodious bhajans and the cheerful greetings of those arriving from near and far. These were perfect segues to raise the platform for our eagerly awaited “Marriage Enrichment Retreat”. 

Through the grace of Bhagavan,Vivekji infused the essence of “the joy of caring” embedded within Shrimad Bhagavad Gita chapter 17 verses 14 to 16; the concept of transcendence via Om Tat Sat symbolized the absolute truth taught through austere actions as well as speaking and thinking purposefully. To overcome fear, the “fear thought” should be removed thus paving the past for upliftment. How beautifully led!

The blessing of a gorgeous fall day set the stage for a fun filled soccer match between above and below 40-year-olds! Invigoration and surprises pervaded the field.The most senior member taught us perseverance and conviction with her intense zeal, tackling like no other. 

An exercise on listening skills led by Sumanji was a moment of quietude, reflection and discussions amongst seekers. Evening relaxation with the movie ”Chillar Party” brought out a roller coaster of tears and laughter, an opportunity to appreciate existing comforts fueling meaningful thoughts from our youth.

Home made scrumptious delights along with meaningful connections with seekers gave satisfaction of completeness to the entire retreat.

It was a treat to have little ones engaged by enthusiastic young adults, the teenagers mentored by Sumanji, and the adults guided by Vivekji after months of joyful anticipation. Heartfelt appreciation to both Vivekji and Sumanji through whom knowledge can be understood, practiced and shared amongst all.
