To live the ancient Hindu wisdom Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ‘The Earth is One Family’, an action-oriented community initiative was created to serve Mother Earth (Prthvi) in 2022. The initiative, called Prthvi Sevasanga, serves with the vision to realign lifestyle and community practices to be more respectful, protective, and caring of Mother Earth.
This 3 min video provides a look into the depth of the work of Prthvi Sevasanga. A summary of our community’s work is:
- Donating over $180,000 to a wide range of environmental charities
- Planting over 2,000 trees in local communities
- Pledging by over 500 individuals to shift their gift-giving practices away from materials
- Creating a resource guide, downloaded by over 300 individualChs for use in their communities to practice sustainability grounded in spirituality.
