Review:
There once was a boy who kept on trying and trying to skate. While others fell and gave up. But, he kept falling but came back up and kept trying. Finally, he accomplished it! Others were surprised.
From this we learned:
- They had a GOAL
- Not everything is in our control but, somethings are in our control, they are:
- Effort
- Attitude
- Be curious and learn as much as you can!
Story:
There once was a young girl named Harshi who lived in a small village. She finished elementary school and now she was going to start middle school. But, there were no middle schools in her village. So, she had to go to the city to attend school. She was so excited to go to the city. So, it was the first day of school for her. She went to the bus and the kids were looking at her differently. When she got off the bus, she didn’t know where to go. So, she followed some students and somehow got to her classroom. When she sat in her seat, everyone around her started to make fun of her. Then, the teacher came, and everyone became quiet. The teacher introduced Harshi to the class since she is new. Suddenly, the teacher made a surprise for the kids telling them that there was a pop quiz today, and everyone was very surprised. The pop quiz was about the 7 wonders of the world. Harshi starts writing what she thought what might be the 7 wonders. Everyone turned in their quizzes but, the teacher knew why Harshi didn’t, so she said,”I taught this to my class last week.” The teacher was proud of her students for remembering the 7 wonders of the world. Harshi told the teacher that there are so many wonders how can I choose? Finally, Harshi turned in her paper and it said that the 7 wonders of the world to her were, friendship, thinking, kindness, love, seeing, touch & hearing. The teacher was proud of Harshi.
Key points from the story:
- She values herself
- We have to develop our minds to give back to the world
- To have self-confidence we need to have self-effort and a correct attitude.
- We have to value our promises to ourselves
- You are your BEST FRIEND!
- We just have to trust yourself
RAW: Make a promise to yourself each day, you will seat still for 10 minutes.Â
