Happiness is in being Humble

REVIEW:

Last week our story was about a little boy who couldn’t move a rock. His father reminded him to ask for help once he had tried everything. The learning was the 2Es. Put in maximum effort first, and then empower when helping someone.

STORY:

Once a young human was drowing in the ocean. An old man started to help the human but another noisy person pushed him away.

“I’m a trained CPR person” he said.  The CPR person saved the human. Everyone clapped for him. Suddenly, the CPR person passed out. He then woke up in an ambulance to find the old man he had pushed away, checking his vitals.

The CPR person found out the old man was a doctor. He asked him why he hadn’t told him who he was earlier.

The doctor replied “We both had the same goal of saving the young human but you pushed me out of the way and wanted everyone to know you did it. You made it about yourself”

MESSAGE:

From the story we learned about humility. Humility is when you do something but it is not about yourself. The cure for ego is humility. You can practice humility by doing random acts of kindness without people know you are doing them.

Some examples are picking up books for someone else, helping someone with homework for standing up for someone.

RAW

Do a random act of kindness every single day.
