Value: Be Confident (not confused)
How do you create happiness?
Convert values into virtues.
- When you practice a value it becomes your virtue.
- When you practice, experience, or live your virtue, that is happiness.
- For instance, you are persevering hard to win a race, even though you’re already exhausted. With the virtue of perseverance you win that game.
Be Confident
Vivekji ‘s Observations: Vivekji really wanted to be hypnotized. He went out with his cousins to the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) where a hypnotist would perform. The hypnotist was able to hypnotise Vivekji’s Brain with confusion. Even Though, Vivekji was able to recognize his surroundings, he couldn’t stop his brain from reacting. Confusion controls the brain. For ex. Hypnotists confuse people to be hypnotized
When you become confused you become:
1)Indecisive (ex. In a multiple choice question, you don’t know if it’s A,B,C,D)
2)Make Mistakes
3)Confusion can cause pressure. When doing a multiple choice question with doubt you will feel pressure because you’re not confident. The opposite of confidence is confusion.
Practice:
Pyramid riddle (The Temple Riddle on Ted Ed)
Moral :Confusion can control the brain
