Lesson
Today we learned about a word called dheera.
What does dheera mean? It means you admire the one who is courageous. What is courageous? Courageous means you never should take the easy way out.
Another point that Shankarji spoke about is procrastination. What is procrastination? It is when you have something to do today, and you will say you will do it tomorrow. This is what procrastination means.
Activity:
Today we played gestures. This game is like Taboo. The teams were boys vs girls. This game taught us not to be nervous or scared to act. At the end of the game, it was a tie.
Questions:
How do you make sure we don’t take the easy way out vs. doing it the right way even though it may be harder?
Answer: Be aware of your thoughts in your mind. If we are lying to ourselves, we need to be aware of what we are thinking.
Raw:
He wants us to learn about the life of Swami Chinmayananda or Swami Vivekananda (or both).

Name of Gurudev: Dheera
Dhira Om Dheeraya namaha- I admire the ones who are courageous.
What is courage?
Courage is to face your fears.
What does that mean?
It means to not take the easy way out, living with integrity.
A perfect example of taking the easy way out is lying. Whenever we are lying we are afraid of facing the consequences of the truth.Another one is procrastination. Procrastination is taking the easy way out.Dhira is to have the courage to face our problems head on.The greatest fear that captain Sankar ji had as a kid was working hard.We usually associate work and sorrow together. Whenever we procrastinate, then procrastinating is easier the next. The opposite is the same with courage. The next time is always easier. Courage is something we always have to think about. When we feel inspired anything we try to do becomes easier
One way to stay inspired is to learn about courageous people. For example, read their autobiography or biography.
Practice:
We played Charades.
We had boys against girls. You could also pass and your team will still get the point. This is for us to not take the easy way out.
Q and A
Q: Sometimes when we face our fears we lie to ourselves to take the easy way out. Is there any way to stop this?
A: The only way to stop it is to be aware of everything we do and the impact it has on us. Once we do that we can then pick up on the pattern.
RAW- learn of the life of Swami Chinmayananda or Swami Vivekananda.
