Develop a Vision

Today’s class â€” Practice New Year’s Resolution

Resolution means setting goals for yourself and things you want to achieve this year.

Today we will set 5 goals for the year. Our goal needs to be specific and clear.

  1. Improvement goal â€” Think of one thing that you are doing now that you want to get better at e.g., become an expert at something you are already doing
  2. Learning goal â€” Think of one thing that you don’t know that you want to learn this year e.g. learn a new skill
  3. Service goal â€” Think of how you can help or serve others this year e.g. help your family, world
  4. Virtue goal â€” Think of what virtue you want to work on the most this year e.g. start with your role model and one virtue that your role model has. Virtue is a good quality e.g. honest, disciplined, hardworking, friendship — The most important quality in a friend is that they want you to grow and be better.
  5. Physical goal â€” Think of one physical achievement you want to accomplish this year to become healthier e.g., exercise, run, sports

For each of your goals, think of one daily habit/ action to do to eventually reach your goal.

Put your goals into a Vision Board with images for each goal. This will be a daily reminder of what you are working towards.

RAW for the week

Create your vision board using the goals and daily habits that you worked on during class.
