Article 21: It’s Game Time: Let’s Play!
by
Juie Deo, Seeker, Environmentalist
Celebrations not only provide avenues for expressing gratitude and fostering CommUnity bonds but also serve as vital waypoints for contemplating future trajectories while embracing our self-development journey. Engaging in games for self-development stands as a time-honored practice, invigorating our practice of seeking, serving and surrendering. This holiday season, let’s revel in celebration alongside Prthvi Devi through game time! As Marc Bekoff aptly put it, “Play is training for the unexpected.” Let’s delve into the unexpected and acknowledge both our own and Her efforts.
Over the past two years, we practiced karma yoga and our devotion to Prthvi Devi have been manifested through:
- Two years of workshops led by Prthvi experts
- Planting over 2000 trees
- Raising $280,957 for environmental causes
- Participation of approximately 350 people in the gift-giving pledge
- Development of Prthvi Seva Guide and partnership with centers
- Engaging 100 seekers in the Devi challenge
- Supporting seven youth teams for Pioneers for the Planet
- Facilitation of Prthvi Ustava for one earth
- And much more…!
Games, conversations, and sharing reflections help us slow down, step back, see more, and smile! Join us in this game time and let’s play
