The journey to a happy retirement starts much earlier than we think. When we think of quickly switching to a retirement mindset, we aren’t able to successfully alter our habitual lifestyle, our thinking. It takes time to change the pattern of our thoughts, and actions. The Vanaprastha initiative is an effort to make people start thinking ahead, change their lifestyle towards purification of mind – chitta shuddhi, prepare and train in withdrawing from worldliness and dedicate their actions towards the highest.
