Review
Our previous class was on Acharya Thotaka and how he was a symbol of humility and courage.
Story
Neha wanted a job. She got the job as a marketing agent and did a very nice job making billboards. One day she came to her boss, Vivek and told him that everything was good except that she had an idea to make 3 billboards side by side going to the right. The first one should show a thirsty man in the desert. The next one would show someone giving him a can to drink out of. The last one would show the man drinking the energy drink. But the idea failed. Neha’s friend told her the reason why the idea was a failure. Arabic people read right to left instead of left to right so for them it would first show a man who drank it, then it would show a picture of someone giving a can of the energy drink in it, then the third one would show him thirsty. If that was the case, then the Arabic people would think the more you drink, the weaker you get.
Message of Story
The story leads us into the value of this week Bhoda: being relevant. Neha’s idea was irrelevant because she didn’t put a lot of thought in it causes it to fail.
Lesson from The Little Prince
The Little Prince went to many planets. On the planets he met a vain man, a businessman, a drunkard, a lamplighter, and a king. On every planet the person on it always talked about themselves and didn’t really think much about the Little Prince. A selfish person talks about themselves and a modest person thinks about the other person. All the people the little prince met didn’t practice Adamba.
Practice
Our practice was to learn 5 new words in five minutes without using the internet.
