Acceptance

June 10, 2020

Review from last week

Prioritization, which means knowing what is important so that we can overcome regret.

Practice this by planning every day: list the important things and what time you will do them.

This week we’re learning about…

The negative emotion which is called Anger

What is Anger? How can we control Anger? What moral can we work on?

We should work on Acceptance.

Acceptance means being ok with whatever happens, being ok with whatever comes in our path.

How can we be ok with whatever happens?

Eg: Our sister or brother is annoying us

We should learn to see the Positive (good) thing, the best thing in any situation or any person. Don’t think about the Negative (bad) things about the situation. There’s always something positive to learn, so learn it and accept.

How do we Practice Acceptance?

For any non-important decision, flip a coin and be happy with the flip outcome (decision), be respectful of the decision.

Eg: What to wear? What to eat (Cookie or Granola bar)?

Question about Climate change — should we accept climate change? How can we not be angry about it?

Things that are bad for us or bad for the world, we should not accept but, it does not mean we should get very angry about it. Instead we should do something to help and change the environment and try to make the situation better.
