Yama means To Be Open Also the more quiet the mind is the more open it is. In the Dao of Pooh Pooh and everyone learns to fall with the fall and flow with the flow.

Practice: Riddles

1. What question can you never say “yes” to? Hint: Everyone goes through this everyday Answer: Are you sleeping?

2. Person who makes it doesn’t need it, person who buys it doesn’t need it, person using it doesn’t know it

Hint: Made of wood

Answer: Coffin

3. I have keys but no locks, I have space but no room, and you can enter but not exit

Hint: Everyone used it before signing in to Happy Hour

Answer: Keyboard

4. What’s full of holes yet still holds water?

Hint: Your parents encourage you to use this more often, but you always procrastinate

Last Class

What flows like water; reflects like a mirror; and responds like an echo?

· River (ans.) A river flows (water), reflects(when is controlled), and responds (a valley) If a river is not controlled in will not be able flow, reflect, and respond.

We should be controlled to reflect, flow, and respond (like a river).

Lesson:

o Your Brain

§ What part of your body is 3 pounds? (ans. Brain)

§ What part of your body is 75% water? (ans. Brain)

§ What part of your body has 100,000 miles of blood vessels? (ans. Brain)

§ How many lines of code does Google have? (ans. 2,000,000,000)

§ How many lines of code does your brain have? (ans. 100,000,000,000)

· Why? To make your mind open

· The quieter your mind is, the more open minded you are.

o Open Mind

§ How do you know if you have an open mind?

  • When you take people or things for granted you have a closed mind. Ex. When you lose things or when you talk to people.

§ How can you develop an open mind?

  • Express your gratitude to become open minded.
