Story: Lion and Sheep

Once there was a lioness who was about to have a little lion cub. After she had her little cub, she passed away.

The new cub not knowing what to do, played around and ran into a field full of sheep.

Mama sheep asked the little cub to hang out with them. The sheep herd took the lion cub and raised her.

Sometimes the sheep were not nice to the lion cub and would make fun of her appearance and asked questions like why the lion cub didn’t look like them. The lion cub felt sad and different like something wasn’t right. She didn’t feel good.

One day the whole herd of sheep were hanging out and eating grass, the lion was also eating grass. Another lion saw this herd of sheep. This lion bolted out of the forest at the food(sheep and all the herd of sheep started running everywhere.

The adult lion saw another lion with the herd of sheep. He wondered why the other lion was running. He pined the lion to the ground gently. He asked the lion what was going on with him and why was he running with the sheep. The lion was scared and said please don’t eat me, I am just a young sheep. Please let me go. The lion was confused and was like what are you talking about. He told the cub that he was not a sheep and a lion just like him. The little lion insisted that he was a sheep and egged for the big lion to let him go. The big lion asked the little lion to come to river to get some water and once there he asked the little lion to look in the water and then tolook at himself . As soon as the little lion saw herself in the water and noticed that she looked so much like the other lion, she perked up. She let out a loud roar. She went back to the sheep and was smiling but the sheep weren’t scared. They wee feeling great that they had looked after her and raised her, fed her and taught her how to do so many things. The little lion said you are my family. I am a lion and I will use my inner strength and my outer strength to protect us.

Lesson from the Story:

1. Be yourself. Everybody is special in a unique way. Don’t compare yourself with others.

2. Be Courageous

3. Be Decisive

RAW:

Do this in the morning and evening. Look at yourself in the mirror for 5 seconds smiling and give yourself a big hug.

We recapped last week’s class about having the right attitude.

Story

There was an old lioness who was giving birth to a cub. As soon as she gave birth to the cub she passed away. The cub was wandering around and it found a herd of sheep. It went near the sheep and the sheep said come on and join us. So the cub joined the sheep. The sheep raised the cub along with other baby sheep. The lion thought that he was a sheep too. He tried making all the noises the sheep could  but he couldn’t. Other sheep sometimes made fun of him because he looked different.

One day another lion came to eat the sheep. All of the sheep ran away and so did the lion sheep too. The proud lion pinned down the lion sheep and asked him why it was running away. Lion sheep begged the lion not to eat him as he is a sheep.

The lion took the sheep lion to a lake , so they could both drink water. The lion sheep realized that he was a lion after seeing himself in the water. He roared and felt all the might in himself. The lion sheep ran to the sheep and told them that he will protect them and they are his family.

 Lesson from the story

1. First be yourself. You are right where you are. You are unique.

2. Be courageous, always wait when difficulty happens.

3.  Be decisive.Make your own choices.

Activity

Sumanji asked random questions to the students and we were to stand up if the answer was yes. He asked whether they showered, liked oreo cookies, went to school , like math, told lies etc.

We practiced being our own selves and also realizing that we all are different and unique.

RAW

Every day morning and evening, look in the mirror for 5 seconds with a smiley face and take both your arms and  hug yourself.
